CURRICULUM

Foundation School (age 2-6 Years)

In the foundation school,  we prioritize the development of essential foundational skills. This includes vital language abilities—speaking, listening, and early literacy—as well as foundational math skills, age-appropriate social and emotional competencies, and physical/sensory-motor development. 
Our focus is to build foundational developmental skills, communication, motor skills, sensory integration and early socialization.

2-6-years
6-10-years

Junior School (age 6-10 Years)

In junior school, we adopt a balanced approach. While continuing to strengthen foundational skills, learners also engage with academic content. At this stage, we introduce adaptive strategies to help students access the Pratham curriculum, even if they face challenges with foundational skills. Our Focus is on  basic academics, social skills, functional communication, early literacy and numeracy  and self-help. Our focus is to build foundational developmental skills, communication, motor skills, sensory integration and early socialization.

Middle School (age 10-14 Years)

In Middle school, our focus is on  expanding academics (adapted), independence, life skills and  social-emotional learning. We dive into subjects like language, math, art, basic science, practical life skills. Our intervention may include behavioral support, social stories and group work. Our focus is to build foundational developmental skills, communication, motor skills, sensory integration and early socialization.

Transitional School (age 14-18 Years)

In the Transition level, our focus shifts to facilitating a smooth transition for learners as they prepare for their next steps beyond Communicare. We collaborate closely with parents and communities to develop a shared vision, implementing targeted strategies to equip students with the necessary tools and prerequisites for success in their future endeavors.Our focus is on vocational training, functional academics, community access, personal management, and pre-employment skills.
Through our community outreach and alliance partners we offer support via career exploration, internships, or supported work environments

Optional Level : Functional Grouping

Many special needs schools also group students by developmental level or learning needs, regardless of age:

• Pre-Academic/Foundational
• Academic Support (Mild to Moderate Disabilities)
• Life Skills Focused (Moderate to Severe Disabilities)
• Therapeutic/Behavioral Support Classes
