PERSONAL THERAPY& REMEDIAL SERVICES
At Communicare, we deliver personalised therapy over and above what is intricately woven into the fabric of academic learning.
From our own experience of observing huge gaps in delivering quantitative outcomes for the child, our mission is to create customized and quantifiable objectives that significantly enhance each learner’s educational journey.
Individualized Program
Every learner’s program is meticulously designed to optimize their unique learning and developmental needs.
Each learner is paired with a homeroom teacher who serves as their advisor, overseeing their individualized program. This advisor, in conjunction with our multidisciplinary team of parents, teachers, therapists, and the learners themselves, identifies and prioritizes goals tailored to each learner’s specific needs. These goals may encompass areas such as speech and language development, sensory-motor skills, socio-emotional growth, or foundational academic competencies like reading, writing, and executive functioning.
We proactively address individual needs through personalized one-on-one support. At school, to ensure that our learners can apply their skills throughout the day, our therapists collaborate closely with all team members and actively engage in different methodologies to address the needs of the child for the breakthrough.
For learners needing extra support beyond school, our team partners with families to provide tailored home programs or recommend external therapy options at school.

Speech and Language Therapy
Our Speech and Language Therapy program is committed to cultivating active listening, speech, language, and communication skills, empowering learners to communicate effectively both in and out of the classroom.
The curriculum focuses on social skills and collaborative group work. Our speech therapists team up with families to address oro-motor and feeding challenges through personalized home programs. They also collaborate with movement therapists to develop a unique speech and movement program that enhances oracy skills through engaging techniques.
In our high school adaptive program, speech and language therapists concentrate on functional communication skills alongside language teachers, nurturing essential speaking and listening abilities relevant to real-world situations.

Engaging in exercises such as trampolining, swimming, and obstacle courses helps children develop essential gross motor skills that are crucial for daily activities and overall physical health
Speech and Language Enhancement
Movement therapy also supports speech development by incorporating activities that encourage verbal expression and communication. Through dance and movement, children can explore nonverbal communication, which can be particularly beneficial for those who struggle with traditional speech
Social

Social-Emotional Learning (SEL)
Our behaviour therapists, teach age-appropriate skills in self-awareness, self-management (including mental health coping strategies), social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making—essential components for thriving in everyday life. We also include developmentally appropriate sex education and have implemented structures aligned with Behavior Intervention across our school.
The SE team works hand-in-hand with classroom staff to ensure all learners are equipped with clear expectations and effective routines. We reinforce positive behaviors and apply logical consequences when necessary.
Sensory Motor Development
The Sensory Motor (SM) Development Program is dedicated to building a robust physical foundation that supports both academic and life skills. This program features individualized goals that focus on sensory integration, occupational therapy, and physical therapy, all aimed at elevating classroom learning.
SM therapy hones in on five key sensory motor areas: self-regulation (attention), gross and fine motor skills, visuoperceptual skills, body awareness, and motor planning. Our therapists collaborate with teachers to adapt classroom environments, helping to regulate learners’ sensory systems and create optimal learning settings.

Dance Therapy and Music Therapy for Neurodivergent Children
Dance therapy and music therapy are powerful therapeutic approaches that can greatly benefit neurodivergent children and those with disabilities.
Dance Therapy
Dance therapy uses movement to express feelings and enhance emotional well-being. It helps children:
1. Improve motor skills and coordination.
2. Increase self-confidence through creative expression.
3. Develop social skills by encouraging interaction with peers
Music Therapy
Music therapy involves using music to address emotional, cognitive, and social needs. Its advantages include:
1. Enhancing communication skills through singing and instrument play.
2. Reducing anxiety and promoting relaxation.
3. Facilitating emotional expression in a non-verbal way.
Both therapies create a safe and supportive environment where children can thrive, build connections, and develop a greater sense of self. By integrating these approaches, caregivers and therapists can provide holistic support tailored to each child’s unique needs.

Individualized Approach
Our expert therapists tailor each session to meet the unique needs of every child, ensuring that they receive the appropriate level of challenge and support. This individualized attention helps maximize each child’s potential and encourages progress at their own pace
By integrating movement therapy into our curriculum, we aim to create a holistic learning experience that not only enhances physical abilities but also supports speech development and emotional well-being for neurodivergent children.
